    Internal Audit Athora Netherlands
    Internal Audit Athora Netherlands is engaged in providing objective assurance and tailor-made recommendations in the field of risk management, internal control and governance of the various business units of the organisation. We mainly focus on operational, IT, compliance, project and strategic audits with a high inherent risk. Our audit team consists of 10 auditors from different backgrounds, all with a passion for complex issues in the field of business processes and change. 


    Depending on their specific field, experiences and interests, our people focus on the different business units within Athora Netherlands. We work hybrid, at the offices in Amsterdam or Alkmaar or home. Your development of professional skills, professional knowledge and personal growth is very important to us. The team is characterized by a professional but also informal working environment, with room for new initiatives.




    What are you going to do?

    As a Senior IT Auditor, you will make an important contribution to the continuous improvement of all parts of Athora Netherlands. Together with your colleagues (IT and operational auditors), you cover the entire spectrum of the organization. You will operate both on a strategic level as well as on an operational level, carry out impactful audits at across the organization. In doing so, you evaluate the relevant processes and systems and the control measures embedded in them. Because the audit universe spans the entire company, our audit objects are very diverse, giving you a complete and broad picture of what is going on within Athora Netherlands.


    As an IT auditor, you will make an important contribution to the continuous improvement of all parts of Athora Netherlands. You carry out IT audits on IT infrastructure, systems, processes and the control measures embedded therein. Our IT audit objects include among other ITGC, Information & Cyber Security, Third-party Management, Storage & Backup, Web portal operations and Virtualization. In addition to IT audits, very importantly, you will also contribute to integrated audits and audits on strategic projects. As a senior IT auditor, you will work in small teams on large or complex audits.. You have in-depth knowledge of and broad experience with audit methodology and audit techniques. You will also contribute to the design of audit programs, carry out audit work and report on the findings, conclusions and possible recommendations to the responsible management. You will also have frequent consultations with department heads to understand the development in their areas.

    Job requirements

    What do we ask?

    • A completed college or university education. A specialization in Information Technology is an advantage. You have completed the postgraduate course RE or CISA designation or equivalent
    • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience at a financial organization or as an auditor/consultant at a financial institution or accounting firm
    • Knowledge of/affinity with IT auditing is required
    • Very good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing
