What are you going to do?

The ERM team is part of the domain of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO). The ERM team enables the creation and implementation of an effective risk strategy and by nature the ERM team works closely together with the all other teams within the risk management, actuarial and compliance function. The risk manager has experience with a combination of financial, non-financial and strategic risk management. This makes you collaborate easily with various stakeholders in both 1st and 2nd line. You act as a liaison within the CRO teams and work on different ERM activities over time, depending on both the team priorities as well as your personal interests.

As Senior Enterprise Risk Manager you will report into the Director Actuarial Risk, while serving as advisor for the CRO and key function holders.

The ERM team (of 4) focusses on ERM activities for Athora NL, which aim to provide an integrated risk view, such as:

• Management and set-up of the risk policy & governance framework

• Monitoring and reporting of the risk profile (ERM reporting)

• Providing forward looking insight and advice on (emerging) risks

• Recovery &  resolution planning

• Regulatory interaction

• Setting of the risk appetite statements and limits

• Coordinating own risk and solvency assessment (ORSA)

• Risk view on strategic projects

• Risk view on capital management

• Sustainability risk management

What do we ask from you?

• University degree, preferably in a quantitative field

• Proven experience in risk management within financial institutions

• Experience within the insurance sector is a plus

• Able to advise Senior Management and/or Executive Committee

• Anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders

• Be action oriented

• Have an overarching (strategic) focus

• Open to change and initiate innovation

Salary per month: based on CLA scale 18, the range is € 7.060,37 to € 9.413,82 based on 36 hours.
