What are you going to do?

Capital Management is responsible within Athora Netherlands for all capital management, balance sheet optimization and reinsurance activities. These include amongst others strategic asset allocation, review of investment proposals from capital point of view, asset-liability management, hedging of different market risks exposures, corporate finance activities, bond issuances, capital model development, capital and funding projections, longevity and other types of reinsurance, supporting growth initiatives. In the team there are and will be many interesting topics to work on, opportunities to grow and collaborate with colleagues throughout our company.

We are continuously developing our team and company in various areas. These initiatives are revolving around more frequent monitoring of our market risks exposures and our capital forecasts, around bringing sustainability into our strategic asset allocation, around managing longevity risk, just to name a few.

What do we ask from you?

• A Master degree in Econometrics, Actuarial Science or other quantitative study

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including knowledge of Solvency II

• Good communication skills (Dutch & English; there are non-Dutch speakers in the team)

• Experience in working in multidisciplinary environment

Competencies

• You are eager to learn and grow and are a team player with a pro-active attitude.

• You know how to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively with them.

• Flexible 'can do' attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Programming skills (Python or R) and/or capital management experience are a welcome addition

In this position, you will engage in challenging work within a positive working atmosphere, taking on an independent role that involves collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the flexibility to choose your own balance between working from the office and home in a hybrid working arrangement. The role offers a 36-hour workweek, with the possibility to adjust your hours based on personal circumstances.

Salary per month: based on CLA scale 12 the range is € 5494,75 to € 8398,41 based on 36 hours.
